In this video, I’ll show you how to record an in-flight offline evaluation — allowing instructors to complete flight assessments while in flight, without internet access.

Before we begin, please note:

To record offline evaluations, users must have the appropriate roles and privileges assigned.

Record the evaluation: (0:24)

1. Go to the Flights module and click on the Offline Evaluations button in the top-right corner.

Important: This function saves evaluations locally. You will not find your saved evaluation on another device.

2. Select the aircraft for the evaluation.

3. Choose the Student and Instructor, then click Next.

4. Now, use the dropdown menu to select the Course.

5. Use the arrows to explore the different Phases, and click them to view individual Lessons.

6. Check the boxes next to the Lessons you want to evaluate offline.

7. Please remember that this step must be done online the first time, so the application can load the courses.

8. Now, you can complete the evaluation the same way that your complete an evaluation online.

9. Also, during the flight, record the times using the following side buttons:

OFF for off block,
T/O for takeoff,
LDG for landing,
and ON for on block.

When you are finished, click on Save.

Synchronize the evaluation: (1:38)

Attention: these steps must be performed on the same device where the evaluation was recorded.

Once you're back online, you can synchronize the evaluation by following these steps.

1. Create the flight by doing Check-in in the Schedule module, or create it from the Flights module, or select and Edit it if it already exists.

2. In the Crew tab, select the student.

3. In the Course tab, click on the Saved Evaluations button.

4. Select the evaluation that was recorded and click on OK.

5. The flight is now updated with all the information that was saved: crew, aircraft, flight times, and the evaluation.

6. You can then modify the flight and save it.
