How to Grade a Theoretical Exam

In this tutorial, I will show you how to grade a theoretical exam.

There are three ways in which instructors can grade a theoretical exam, on the Home page under Missing Signatures, from the Schedule Module, and in the Me Module under the Signatures tab.

IMPORTANT: An exam must be selected as the lesson of a course for the booking. Let me show you first how to book an exam.

1. First, log in to your account.

2. Go to the Schedule Module.

3. Scroll to “Classrooms”.

4. Click on a classroom to add a new booking.

5. Select an instructor, for example, I am going to select Frank Cross.

6. Select the course. I am going to select ATPL(A).

7. Select a lesson that is an exam. I am going to select the FCL 055 Final Exam.

8. Add the students that will participate in the exam, and save.

NOTE: Make sure the booking has been published. If there is a small lock on the booking that means it is private. In this case, just click on the booking and click on the “Publish booking” icon.

FROM THE SCHEDULE MODULE:  (1:11)

To grade a theoretical exam from the Schedule Module:

1. First, log in to your account.

2. Go to the Schedule Module.

3. Scroll down to “Classroom”.

4. Select the class of the lesson you want to grade.

5. If the class has already begun, you will be able to click on the small icon labeled “Presence”.

6. Here you will be able to fill the presence sheet, and right after get the option to grade each student.

7. Sign the presence sheet.

8. And click “Sign” to save the changes.

NOTE: If the class is scheduled but hasn't begun yet, you will not see the presence icon displayed. You can only record presence during or after the class but not before the class has started.

4. Sign the presence sheet.

5. And click “Sign” to save the changes.

ROLES AND PRIVILEGES: (2:53)

For a User to be able to view and edit the class presence, they must have the Roles and Privileges to do so. Let me show you.

1. Go to the Users Module.

2. Click on the Roles and Privileges icon on the top right-hand corner of the page.
