How to Add/Edit/Delete Files and Folders

In this tutorial, I will show you how to add, edit, and delete files and folders in the Documents Module.


Depending on your Roles and Privileges you may have the option to perform all tasks or have limited access. Please watch the tutorial, How to Manage the Roles and Privileges for the Documents Module, to learn more.


**ADD:** (0:25)


1. First, log in to your account.


2. Go to the Documents Module.


3. To add, click on the plus sign in the bottom right-hand corner and select "Add file" or "Add folder", or just use the drag and drop space for an easier way to add more files to the “Root” or a specific folder.


4. If you add a file, you can upload it directly to the current folder.


5. If you add a folder, create the folder name and save it.


**EDIT:** (0:58)


To edit a folder name:


1. Just click on the 3 dots next to the folder.


2. Select "Edit".


3. Change the folder name.


4. And save.


**DELETE:** (1:09)


Likewise, to delete a folder or file:


1. Just click on the 3 dots next to the folder or file and select "Delete".


2. If you are deleting a folder, you will be prompted with a message "You are going to delete the folder and all documents inside. This action cannot be undone. Type DELETE to confirm.”


3. And if you are deleting a file, you will be prompted with this message: “You are going to delete the file XXX. This action cannot be undone. Type DELETE to confirm.”


4. Then click “Confirm” to accept or “Cancel”.
