How to Add/Edit/Delete/Cancel a Classroom Booking (Ground Lesson)

In this tutorial you will learn how to Add, Edit, Delete and Cancel Classroom Bookings (Ground Lessons).


1. Go to the Schedule module.


2. Select the Schedule tab.


3. In the upper left-hand side of the window, you will see the current date. Directly to the right, you have the option to select the date range of the schedule page. You can select the display option in the drop-down menu and can choose to view a single Day, a 1 week, 2-week, 3-week, 4 week or month view.


4. Scroll to the bottom where you will find Classrooms. Here you can schedule ground lessons by reserving a classroom. You do this by clicking on the classroom at the desired time of the booking. A window will open to reserve a classroom. Please select Private or Public in the top left-hand corner of the booking window. 5. In the “Reserve a classroom” pop-up window, you can –

  • Set the date and time, by clicking on the calendar or clock icons or by typing directly into the spaces labeled - Date, Start and End time

  • You can also, select the Classroom, Instructor and Course from the corresponding drop-down menus.

  • Enter the Subject of the lesson, by typing in the appropriate space.

  • To add Students to the lesson, click the select students' button and check the boxes next to the desired students' names and then click the Save button at the bottom of the window.

  • To set a repeating lesson, check the box marked "Repeat" and set the frequency by using the drop-menus as appropriate.

Don’t forget to save.

Now that you have created a classroom booking you can drag and drop the booking directly on the schedule to adjust the time or change the classroom.


To edit the booking information,


1. Click on the booking.


2, Select the Edit icon (the pencil) to open the classroom reservation window where you can make edits to the booking and save your changes.


TO DELETE: (2:04)


To delete a booking,


1. Click directly on the booking and select the Delete icon (the trashcan) you will be prompted with the message "You are going to delete this reservation. This cannot be undone. Are you sure?". Click YES or NO.


2. Deleted bookings will not be accounted for and will not be included in reports. Deleted bookings DO NOT send an email to the students and instructor to notify them of the deletion. Deleting a booking should only be used for mistakes that can't be corrected by editing.


TO CANCEL: (2:28)


To cancel a booking,


1. Click directly on the booking and select the Cancel icon (the small circle with the diagonal line through it).


2. You will be prompted with a cancel booking window where you can select a reason for cancellation from the drop-down menu. If the reason is not listed you can choose "other" which will allow you to write the reason in the text box.


3. If you want to send an email to the students and the instructor to notify them of the cancellation, please check the “Send Email” check box and click OK. Cancellations will be accounted for and can be used to create reports in the Reports module.
