User Log In and Password

In this tutorial, I'll walk you through the basics of how to log in to your account, what to do if you forgot your password, how to change your password and common reasons why you might not be able to log in.

Let's get started.

To log in you must have a user name and password. Your username is your email address that was registered by your flight school.

NOTE: If you are the admin, your username is not your email address. The school admin account is the unique name that was registered by Private-Radar when the account was created for the flight school.

FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD

1. If you forgot your password, please click on the link “Forgot your password”.

2. In the pop-up window, write your email to receive a new password.

3. Then click on the button “Send me a new password”.

4. A new password will be generated and sent to your inbox. If you do not receive it, please check your spam folder. If it is not there, please contact us at support@private-radar.com.

CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

1. To change your password, go to the Me tab.

2. Click on the icon on the top right-hand corner "Change password".

3. Enter and confirm your new password.

4. Don't forget to save.

TROUBLESHOOTING

"Incorrect e-mail/username or password"

If this error message appears when you try to log in please check that you correctly entered your email/username and password. Your username is your email address that was registered by your flight school.

For example, I am going to log in as Julie Apton. Username: "jap" and my password. Now, I am getting this error message. Ooops, I forgot to add my email address. That's jap@private-radar.com. Ok, now it works.

Remember, your username is your email address.

NOTE: If you are the admin, your username is not your email address. The school admin account is the unique name that was registered by Private-Radar when the account was created for the flight school. If you don't remember it, please write to support@private-radar.com.

"Not authorized, please contact your administrator"

If this error message appears when you try to log in, you either have no assigned profile or the user account has been set to inactive.

If this is the case, you are not authorized to log in and you must contact your administrator.

I am going to set Julie Aptons account to inactive. Now when I try to log in with my email jap@private-radar.com I am getting this message.

Here if you go Julie's account you can see it is inactive. Let's set it to active again and make sure there is her correct email address registered. Here we see her email address. We can also see she has a "student" profile assigned to her. This gives her access rights. Ok, everything is great. Let's log in. Perfect.

"Please confirm the login by answering the email that we sent you"

If this message appears when you try to log in, your account security settings have been set to "Confirm logins outside of my school's country by email for my account" and you or someone else is trying to log in to your account from another country. In this case, Private-Radar sends you an email with the subject "Critical security alert for your Private-Radar account" and a link to confirm that the IP is secure.

You must go to your email and click on the link to confirm your IP. Now you can log in.
