Flight and Duty Time Settings
In this tutorial, I will show you how to set up your Flight and Duty Time limits.
1. First, log in to your account.
2. Expand the menu on the top left-hand corner of the page.
3. Click on Settings.
4. Select Flight and Duty Time from the menu on the left-hand side of the pop-up window.
MAXIMUM FLIGHT TIMES: (0:27)
Here you can define Maximum flight times. For example, per 7 days, 28 days and 12 months. Flight times are calculated from the actual flights, not from the schedule.
You can define the maximum number of hours for local and navigation flights. Scheduled flights cannot go over these values (excluding briefings).
MAXIMUM DUTY TIMES: (0:52)
You can do the same for Maximum duty times by defining the number of hours per 7 days, 28 days, and 12 months.
DAILY DUTY TIME: (1:00)
Next, you can set the maximum daily duty time for instruction flights and AOC flights. The daily time is calculated from the beginning of the first activity of the day to the end of the last activity of the day, including briefings.
You can adjust your settings if you want to ignore ground lessons after the last flight.
NIGHT: (1:22)
Next, you can define the night reduction and the night time range. The night reduction is applied to the maximum daily duty time when at least one flight lands or takes off during the night time.
REST: (1:34)
Next, you can define the minimum rest between two flights. This will be applied as the minimum time between two flights with at least one pilot in common, excluding briefings.
You can also set the minimum full rest. The minimum full rest time must be respected between two days, including briefings.
As well as the minimum partial rest. When there is the minimum partial rest between 2 activities, half of the partial rest is added to the maximum daily duty time.
5. Don't forget to save.
You can activate constraints in the schedule settings to prevent users from booking when their flight and duty time has exceeded.
Please watch the tutorial, Schedule Settings for more information.
To view a user's flight and duty time summary, go to the Users Module, select a user, click on the Flight and Duty Time tab. Here you will find the total summary. This information will be automatically updated based on the information in the system.
You can also generate a Flight and Duty Time report in the Reports Module, if you are subscribed.
